helps others in need, or simply supports their community.

What Makes A Good Nominee?
Feel The Love nominees all have one thing in common: they always put others first.
Sometimes, these individuals need a little help making sure their own needs are being met. Some examples of past nominees include community figures such as teachers, police officers, firefighters, and volunteers; families facing hard times; veterans; senior citizens living in older homes; and people impacted by natural disaster. In short, anyone who serves others is a good candidate for a Feel the Love nomination.

If you know a Treasure Coast resident who deserves recognition,
nominating them to receive a new heating or cooling system
is a heartfelt way to show your appreciation!

The Price Family - October 25th, 2024

Laine and Ashlie Price were nominated by their friend Blair and are the final nominees to receive a new AC system from Smith Services through the Lennox Feel The Love program in 2024! The Price family opens their home to at-risk youth and young adults who find themselves in need. They love, care for, mentor and encourage these young individuals as they find their way in this world. Laine leads by example of what it means to overcome adversity. He donates his time and skills helping people in the community who are in need of vehicle repairs and steps to the plate as the leader of his home. Ashlie has been in early childhood education for almost 20 years and is dedicated to loving, teaching and investing in the next generation. They are involved in community activities including youth programs, religious organizations and are willing to lend a helping hand wherever they are needed! On Friday, October 25th, the Smith Team installed a 3ton high efficiency Lennox split system complete with a new hurricane slab for the condenser as well as a new metal stand and drain pan for the air handler.

Kelsey Alvira - October 15th, 2024

Kelsey Alvira was nominated by her friend Meghan and is the second to receive a new AC system from Smith Services for FREE in 2024! Kelsey Alvira works at the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County and is also working to build her own fitness and nutrition business. Kelsey welcomes her friends to stay with her when they fall on hard times and will take in animals that nobody else can handle or care for! She works tirelessly to help those around her and the innocent animals who do not have a voice to speak for themselves. She had difficulties cooling her house and deserves to be comfortable in her own home. On Tuesday, October 15th, the Smith Team installed a 3ton Lennox split system complete with an E30 smart thermostat, hurricane slab for the condenser and a drain pan for the air handler.

The Petrun Family - October 5th, 2024

April Petrun was nominated by her brother and is the first to receive a new AC system from Smith Services in 2024! April is a Vero Beach native and dedicated teacher who is always giving her time and resources to help enhance learning and student success. She works late, spends her summers partnering with The Learning Alliance, and tutors students to help them achieve their dreams! April doesn’t just teach a single grade, she’s an ESE teacher and supports students in kindergarten, first and second grade. She became a single mother after her daughter’s father passed and is extremely passionate about her daughter’s and students’ education, leaving her little time or money for her to work on the larger fixes in the home. On Saturday, October 5th, the Smith Team installed a 2.5ton Lennox split system complete with an E30 smart thermostat, hurricane slab for the condenser and a plywood top for the air handler.

People throughout our community recognized deserving individuals and families by nominating them to receive a new HVAC system. Each nomination recognized an unsung hero who may have been going through hardships, helping others in need or simply supported their community. Smith Services is dedicated to giving those in need the perfect air they deserve, which is why we partnered with Lennox to gift this family with a much-needed upgrade complete with an extended warranty. The new high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment donated through Feel the Love not only gave the immediate benefit of comfort, but it will also have a long-term impact on the environment and energy bills, as recipients' energy usage can be reduced by approximately 30% - 40%!
